Omaha Bike Ride to the Taste

Omaha Bike Events to the Taste of Omaha includes options for a 9 mile, 15 mile or 35 mile recreational bike ride,  the Omaha Biathlon (a timed bike-run event), 5K Run and the Midwest Gran Fondo, a timed bike ride, using a Trail Route.

After the bike and run events, all entrants get tickets to the Taste of Omaha!

Sunday, June 2, 2024  – The Bike Ride (Rain or Shine the Event will go on)
Start / Finish Line –  Elmwood Park entrance area, 67th & Center St. Omaha, NE

All events – 9, 15, and 35 mile rides
– 8:00 – 9:00 am Registration and Late Regsitration
–  Covid Social Distancing Safety Plans —- Just Check-In and Go!

Three routes to choose from and something for everyone. An approx. 9 mile route, 15 mile route, and a 35 mile route.

9 mile – Route
This short morning ride beckons you with its beauty. On the extremely flat and scenic route, riders take the Keystone Trail and head south, then turn around and return to Elmwood Park.  All on the Keystone Trail.
15 mile – Route 

Amid beautiful scenery, cyclists will ride a beatiful, flat route and head south on the Keystone Trail.  Then head toward Culvers and turn around just after the bridge.  Turn around and then head back on an easy and flat course to Elmwood Park  – the start and finish area.
35 miles – Route –  Trail Route

The longest, most challenging tour features creek and calm scenery, beautiful ride on the trail system —   head out from Elmwood Park on the Keystone Trail heading south toward Culvers.  From Culvers head west on the West Papio past Papillion and on to the new section to Millard — 132 and Q trail head and turn around.  Then head back east to Culvers.  At Culvers, head north on the Keystone trail and head back on the trail to Elmwood Park for the finish area. 

After the bike ride all riders check in to pick up your special gift, get some tickets to the Taste of Omaha!

Sunday, June 2, 2024  – The Midwest Gran Fondo Timed Bike Event (Rain or Shine the Event will go on)
The Midwest Gran Fondo is a Timed Bike Ride that will Start / Finish at Elmwood Park entrance at  – 67th & Center St, Omaha, NE.

– 8:00 – 9:00 am Registration and Late Registration
– Following Social Distancing Safety Plans.     No Mas Start — Just Check in and Go.

35  Mile – Route —   Trail Route

The 5K Run

5-K Run Online Orders will be taken Until 12:00 PM – Friday, May 31, 2024. You may still Late Register at the Event.

Sunday, June 2, 2024  – The 5K Run (Rain or Shine the Event will go on)
The 5K Run will Start / Finish Line –  Elmwood Park, 67th & Center St, Omaha, NE.  .

– 8:00 – 9:00 am Registration and Late Registration
– Following Social Distancing Safety Plans.     No Mas Start — Just Check in and Go. 

5K Run Route – approximately 3 miles – Click here for 5K Run Route
The route starts at Elmwood Park entrance at 67th and Pacific area.  The route is a flat, easy course.  Out 1.5 miles on the Keystone Trail heading south and then back.

After the 5K Run, runners check in to pick up your special gift, get some free tickets to the Taste of Omaha!

Omaha Biathlon Online Orders will be taken Until 12:00 PM – Friday, May 31, 2024. You may still Late Register at the Event.

Sunday, Julne 2, 2024  – The Omaha Biathlon is a Bike Ride & 5K Run (Rain or Shine the Event will go on)
The first leg of the Omaha Biathlon will be the Bike Ride which will be the 15 mile Route.   Then the entrant does the 5K run.  The distances are 15 mile bike ride and 5K run.  These are shorter distances – called Sprint Distances since it is early in the year.    The course is flat and should be fast.

– – Following Social Distancing Safety Plans.     No Mas Start — Just Check in and Go.

15 mile – Route – Bike Ride

Amid beautiful scenery, cyclists will ride a beatiful, flat route and head south on the Keystone Trail.  Then head toward Culvers and turn around just after the bridge.  Turn around and then head back on an easy and flat course to Elmwood Park  – the start and finish area.
