Spring is Coming to the CHI Health Center February 27 – March 1
Excitement is building for the 60th Anniversary Omaha Home & Garden Expo to be held Friday, February 27th through Sunday, March 1st at the CHI Health Center, 10th Street & Capitol Ave. The Omaha Home & Garden Expo has been an Annual Family Tradition since 1967. This year’s Show has become the area’s Most Complete showcase of the latest products and services for the Home – Inside and Out!
The 2026 Show will give homeowners the opportunity to see one of the finest Home & Garden presentations in the Midwest. Whether looking for ways to remodel their homes, decorate, build a new one or explore creative landscaping, Show visitors will find millions of ideas with over 150,000 sq. ft of displays. The Expo is an excellent opportunity for home consumers to view the latest innovations, compare products and visit with experts in the industry. See more than you can ever imagine from kitchens and baths to beautifully designed landscapes including ideas for the do-it-yourselfer, interior decorating trends, contractor services, solar, energy-saving products, garage storage, shelving, flooring, patio furniture, lawn and garden equipment, room additions, replacement & new windows, doors, siding, roofing, fireplaces, outdoor living and much more with over 600 hundred displays all under one roof!

Enjoy family friendly educational entertainment featuring Canine Stars! Stunt Dog Shows highlighting the greatest canine athletes in the world performing freestyle frisbee, high-jumping, agility racing, dancing dogs, dock dog tricks, and of course the crowd favorite dock diving into the World’s only Ball Pit Pool. These canine stars were featured on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT and performed LIVE on NBC.
All of these dogs are Rescue Dogs that have been adopted by their trainers. Any dog, of any breed, of any age, with any past – can achieve greatness. We support and promote rescue & adoption. The shows aim to inspire and educate youth, share heartwarming rescue stories about these dogs, and demonstrate how TEAMWORK makes the impossible possible for the “underdog.” The Show will also be your chance to see adoptable pets by the Nebraska Humane Society as well as a Pet Feature Showcase displaying from gourmet pet treats and foods to fashion leashes and accessories, plus more.

Meet Emmy Award Winning Mikel Welch of Hack My Home & The Drew Barrymore Show
Mikel Welch will share ways to make your home look expensive without a lot of money, timeless design ideas and answers your questions at the Show. Mikel is an Emmy-winning host and design expert, celebrated for his role as the host of the award-winning Netflix Show, Hack My Home. He is also the in-house interior design expert and occasional co-host on The Drew Barrymore Show on CBS, where he shares expert insights on home renovation and sophisticated space design. Additionally, Mikel is a recurring guest on The Today Show, where he provides valuable tips and tricks for creating luxurious looks at affordable prices. Mikel gained prominence as a former on-air personality on TLC’s Trading Spaces, showcasing his talent in designing spaces that blend practicality with elegance. His work has been prominently featured on HGTV, The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, and Good Morning America. Recently, Mikel was selected for the prestigious Kips Bay Showhouse and earned a place on Elle Decor’s top 10 list for his innovative design concepts.
Meet Mikel Welch, one of the country’s best designers with great stories, design ideas and hot trends as well as Mikel’s book, The Forever Home, at the Show’s Omaha Magazine Stage on Saturday at 4pm and Sunday at 1:30pm.
This three-day multi-event extravaganza will have more Feature Attractions for adults and children alike, including a FRESH & LOCAL Display Area featuring locally grown plants and producers from one of a kind garden art to lavender, honey, spices and dips with your chance to taste.
Another popular attraction is the Exotic Animal Shows by Wildlife Encounters and fun for the kids’ featuring animals from around the World with shows on Fri. 3 PM & 6 PM and Sat. 2 PM & Sun. at 2:30PM.

The Omaha Home & Garden Expo is a showcase of the latest products and services available and will have experts at the Show discussing ways you can improve your home and help the environment. In most homes as much as half of all the energy used in the home is wasted. The City of Omaha Recycling Department and others will be sharing how you can be involved.

The 60th Anniversary Omaha Home & Garden Expo exhibits will be open to the public Friday, February 27th, from 11 AM to 8 PM; Saturday, February 28th, from 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday, March 1st, from 11 AM to 5 PM. Adult Admission is just $10.00, Children 5 -12 are $4.50 and under 5 are free. Discount Coupons are available at area Village Inn’s & Fareway Food Stores.
