This Palos Verdes, California native set-out to combine his knowledge of design and entrepreneurial skills to open two high-profile home design stores just south of Los Angeles. Michael Moloney’s Le Garage combines vintage treasures found at flea markets all over the world, new accessories and giftware. Maison Luxe, Michael’s upscale store located in Manhattan Beach, California, sells unique and plush home furnishings to customers like Goldie Hawn, Candace Bergin and Rachel Hunter.

His eclectic, fresh approach to decorating took off and soon Michael Moloney became synonymous with spectacular interior design, working with celebrities such as Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest, among other projects with Walt Disney Co. & the NFL.

Speed Herrig, barbecue specialist and president of Cookies Food Products, has taken a small one-man operation and turned it into one of the largest regional sauce manufacturers in the country. Cookies Food Products,

manufacturer of “the award-winning sauces America loves to eat,” had its start in a small town in Northwest Iowa. Speed started by selling his friends sauce out of the back of his pickup truck and today that sauce is available in 34 States.

Speed was one of the founding members of the Iowa BBQ Society. He promotes Barbecue with cooking segments on TV and Radio across Iowa. He hosts 50 innercity youth at his plant to help educate them in the art of barbecue through the R.I.B.S. for Kids program along with the Iowa Barbecue Society. This program has just completed its seventh year.
