TRIUMPH OF AGRICULTURE ANNUAL AGRI- AWARD

The Triumph of Agriculture Exposition established the Annual “Agri-Award” as part of Nebraska’s Centennial Celebration, in 1976 to recognize outstanding organizations and individuals that have contributed to the Agricultural Development in the Midwestern area. This year’s winners are Terry Twiestmeyer, Owner of Twiestmeyer & Associates and John Fonda, President of John Day Company (John’s father Jere Fonda received the award in 1996). They will receive their awards on Thursday, March 4th at 9:00 am at the Show.

TERRY TWIESTMEYER - TWIESTMEYER & ASSOCIATES

Terry Twiestmeyer, owner, has a background of farming and sales. In the mid-seventies while very involved in farming and ranching a need developed for a universal pick-up hitch. Thus was born the “twist-hitch” which was patented and marketed by Terry and introduced him to the concept of multi-line marketing. By using independent manufacturers reps and observing the value they derived from their trade organization AIMRA, “Agricultural & Industrial Manufacturers Representatives Association”, Terry joined, became active and has served as president.

JOHN FONDA - JOHN DAY COMPANY

John D. Fonda currently is President, CEO of the John Day Company. John is the second in his family to receive the Agri-Award. His father Jere W. Fonda was presented his in 1996.
